A beautifully impressive Edwardian house recently refurbished to its grand glory. Situated in an ideal position, a stone's throw away from the Exmoor National Park and with views of the Quantocks, Britain's first designated area of outstanding natural beauty.


Only a couple of miles to the coast, near to Watchet Harbour, Blue Anchor Bay and with Minehead and Porlock a short drive away.

With easy access from London, the South East and Midlands makes it ideal to escape to the country for a relaxing well-earned break or a more active holiday for some of our sport lovers.

The house is laid back from the road by about 70 metres, within grounds of 4 acres comprising beautiful gardens and fields.

 
A perfect location to sit out on our terrace and watch the world go by, with afternoon tea and homemade cakes being available.

All our bedrooms are very spacious with en-suites. Each room has its own delightful view. Careful attention has been given to the décor in each room, making them stylish and very relaxing.
   

Best crisp linen, fluffy soft bath towels and a set of special toiletries to make you feel as comfortable as possible. A fine selection of teas and coffee is available in each room.
Downstairs there is a grand sitting room, with a large wood burning stove providing warmth and cosiness. There is an excellent cloak/drying room enabling clothes and boots to be ready again for use the next day.

Cyclists and Walkers welcome.

 
A full English or Continental breakfast is served from 7.30 am onwards in our new breakfast room.

There are some excellent pubs and restaurants in the near vicinity offering local beers, ales and ciders.

Activities and Country Pursuits

Guidance and advice is given and arrangements can be made for our guests for some of the following:

  • Walks in the Quantocks, generally throughout Exmoor and in the Brendon Hills with the old Mineral Line trail passing close to the house.
  • Mountain Biking.
  • Swimming at sandy beaches nearby. Indoor swimming at Minehead.
  • Golf and Tennis at Minehead.
  • Sea Fishing in the Bristol Channel from Minehead Harbour and Watchet Marina.
  • Fly Fishing: The Barle and Exe rivers provide excellent Salmon and Brown Trout fishing, while the reservoirs at Clatworthy and Wimbleball are stocked with Rainbow Trout.
  • Clay Pigeon shooting.
  • Pheasant and Partridge shoots.
  • Off-Road Safaris and Wildlife watching.

How to find us

Heading west from M5 at Junction 23 take A38 to Bridgwater where take A39 direction Minehead.
Keep on A39 at Williton. Go by Tropiquaria.

House is next on right immediately after 30 mph sign before entering Washford.
Alternatively Junction 25 at Taunton where head to Williton on A358.
